Our Leadership Team

  • Kimberly Saltus, founder and president

A visionary. A dreamer. A change agent with a plan. I always dreamed; growing up in an upper-middle class town that everyone would have the same chance to experience the freedom that I had to dream. My parents allowed me to play in the woods with my neighbor, Rebecca or all by myself where I would dream all summer long. But then I grew up, and experienced the destruction and slaughter and annihilation of a man’s life. Learning that there are others who are born into this environment with no way out. In the midst of persecution, I stood by him; and became a warrior for the cause. Discovering in the process what true freedom really is… Also learning, in times of trouble, and where there is an absence of leadership, I have all that I need to lead myself well.

  • Brett Saltus, Connector and GC

The OG. A star football player and charismatic leader. A Professional Arborist and General Contractor with 30 years of experience. Best in the northeast who happens to also have vast experience with regard to the Criminal Justice System and its disparities. Using his skillset to help disadvantaged youth stay out of prison. Leading with excellence, helping them make the connection between the money they can make and hard work. Having lost his freedom for 25 years because of a simple possession charge, Brett’s inspiring their involvement in our project with his story. Choosing life, in complete remission, shining a light on the truth. Doing what needs to be done about what has become an ever-worsening problem.

  • Al Robinson, Community Operations

One of Brett’s best friends who has spent his whole life in and out of prison. Born into poverty, and one of the most dangerous housing projects in the country. Respected in his community. Hardworking and enterprising, he did what he had to do to provide for his family in spite of the lack of any real opportunity. Success looks very different in the housing projects of America compared to affluent communities.

You only have to look into Al’s eyes to see a winner with a delegating leadership style; empowering his community to be part of the solution.
