A possible future

Children learn what they live.  If their experience is visiting dad in prison, and mom working all the time trying to make ends meet, what’s being taught?  How can a kid dream in that environment?  And think about the child who has gunfire surrounding his home? Not to mention the chaos surrounding him when his parents can’t seem to find any hope?

So we @ fifty-first street are shining our light, giving people permission to do the same. Investing in them; creating a new self-sustaining cycle backed by business processes organized to our vision that put our customer’s customers to work and play effectively; displacing gun and drug violence.  This initiative is a shift away from the chaos and dysfunction; that is all they’ve ever known.  A new place where the hustle is no longer the only game in town. Taught good values, and new ways to work hard toward something that really matters. All that stuff doesn’t. Who needs to be driving a Jaguar, living in a project? They need to be educated. Championed. And taught to… Never give up!

I don’t know about you, but I want to be surrounded by people whose lives and responses to life cause the community to look up and take notice…
